Merrill Osmond visited Canton Charter Academy
to film a video of his new song, America.

...and introduces Merrill to the
audience of children! 

 The school's 530 children sang along
with Merrill Osmond for the taping.

Parents and friends couldn't resist
a chance to get in on the action.

Merrill recorded the song to raise money for
the victims' families and those injured in the
September 11th attacks.

He chose as his charity the 
Families of Freedom Fund
sponsored by Bill Clinton and Bob Dole...

...to raise educational scholarship dollars for the
families and survivors of the attacks.

Merrill spent some time talking with
the children and letting them know how
adversity often brings people together.

Merrill sang from his heart...

and all the children joined him on the chorus!

A lot of parents showed up for the taping
and Merrill was happy to pose with them!

which is the largest scholarship fund
in the country and also CSFA manages
the Families of Freedom Fund.

After the taping Merrill interviewed
with several TV stations and newspapers.
