WNR 2232/WNRD2231Wienerworld proudly present Merrill Osmond – Back in Black, live in concert singing all The Osmond favourites together with his band “Black Bear.”
Released to coincide with the start of his UK tour this live in concert programme features Merrill at his best as he treats us all to the Osmond favourites and a host of new songs.
Recorded only a few months ago on stage live in the States in front of a specially invited audience, this music video demonstrates why Merrill is such a talented, professional and established artist who enjoys a high profile name with a sizeable and dedicated following around the world. As a front member of the original “boy band” and lead singer for the famous Osmonds, his incredible voice was the dominant sound on hits such as “One Bad Apple”, “Down by the Lazy River”, “Love Me for a Reason” and many other countless hits. In collaboration with his brothers, Merrill wrote the music and lyrics for five number one hit records and sang lead to the group's collective 27 gold records - many of which he shared the production credits. Collectively the Osmonds produced 47 platinum and gold records. In the history of the rock era, no other recording artists have earned as many gold records in one year as the Osmond family. Not even the Beatles were able to receive eleven gold award certificates in one year, but the Osmonds still hold that record today.
Merrill’s entertainment career has spanned over 45 years and he has received two “People’s Choice Awards,” four number #1 “Billboard Hits,” and two “Grammy Award” nominations.
This is Merrill Osmond at his best – Back In Black for 2004.
